Dave's Story:
In 2003 Dave was diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive cancer that was attacking the back of his right eye. The out look was bleak. Dave had to undergo 6 months of intense chemotherapy and 25 sessions of intense radiotherapy. Dave was confronted with the fact that his life may be cut short but through this grasped the truth that God would heal him and bring him through the storm. 6 years on Dave is living life to the full and continuing to share his story of healing. Dave got married to the beautiful Sarah in the summer of 2007. The doctors told Dave that he would never be able to have children because of the treatment that he endured but against all the odds Dave and Sarah have a little boy called Jackson.
Dave lives life out loud and has been given a second chance at life. This tour is certain to bring hope to many people in hopeless situations.
MARTIN SMITH - DELIRIOUS?
When Dave told me that he played the song “My Glorious” during his surgery it humbled me and privately I wept over the heartache he and his family went through. If I grow up to be half as brave as Dave I will have accomplished something. A boy became a man during this story and a greater man he will become.
DUANE WHITE - BEYOND THESE SHORES
I will never forget when Dave and I sat in McDonald’s a few days after hearing the prognosis of cancer. He momentarily threw ll jokes aside and forthrightly asked me; “Duane, am I going to die?” I looked at him and said; “Dave, I cant promise the outcome, but i can tell you what Gods truth is, and I promise to fight with everything we have to see God’s truth manifested.”
It was then that I saw resolve and determination enter his eyes.
